Jason & Cathy
We are extremely grateful that you are considering us as your child's adoptive parents! We believe that adoption is a lifelong commitment and look forward to growing our family and providing the love and support that you want for your child. Our hearts are filled with joy at the idea of bringing home a child to love and raise.
Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other

Cathy About Jason: Jason is kind and a complete gentleman. Shortly after we started dating, I traveled to Arizona to visit my grandfather who was in hospice care. My grandfather passed away while I was home, but his funeral wasn't until after my flight back home. Without hesitation or knowing how much it would cost for me to change my flight, Jason offered to pay for the fees for me to be able to stay home for the funeral. Jason is always willing to go above and beyond to help those in need. His selflessness, caring, and big heart are qualities that I admire and love about Jason.
Jason About Cathy: Cathy is the most genuine person I have ever met. When she asked me if I had ever accomplished anything in my life that truly made me proud, without hesitation I answered "marrying you." I am not exaggerating when I say I have never met a more caring, compassionate, and empathetic person. She is easy-going and fun-loving. We do nearly everything together as a couple. She is a dedicated and motivated Naval Officer in a male-dominated organization who has a long list of accomplishments. Her determination and drive are second to none. Cathy is a magnet for children. Whether it's our nieces and nephews or our friend's children, they all naturally gravitate towards her. One of the things I like best about Cathy is how accepting and nonjudgmental she is of others.
Childhood Memories

Cathy's favorite childhood memories are of family gatherings at Grandma/Grandpa's house. The house would be full on Thanksgiving. We'd have an early dinner and enjoy lots of pumpkin pie the rest of the afternoon. We would always pick names for Christmas presents. A month later, we'd all go back to our Grandparent's house on Christmas eve. The grandkids would go to sleep in the spare room until midnight when we'd wake up and sing "Happy Birthday" to Jesus and then excitedly open our presents. By the time we got home, Santa Clause had always already visited us! One of Jason's favorite childhood memories is summer vacations with his family in Myrtle Beach. My grandparents, parents, and sisters all stayed together in a rented condo. We would spend hours at the beach playing in the ocean. Then we would go out on the town in the evenings for dinner, to an amusement park, to play putt-putt, or to go shopping, among other things. He can still remember the smell of the salt water in the air when we first arrived. He also remembers how excited he was when he was finally big enough to ride the grown up roller coaster! We vacationed like that for three or four years in a row and they are memories that he will cherish for the rest of his life.
What it Means to Be Parents

Being a parent means unconditional love. In growing our family, the love that we have for each other as husband and wife will be shared with a child. We will be an example of love and acceptance and will be there for our child regardless of the circumstance or situation.
As parents, we look forward to pouring all our love into the life of another human. Seeing the world through their eyes or enjoying new experiences together as a family. We look forward to providing love and guidance to prepare our child to live their dreams and prepare them for the world.
What we expect to treasure most about being parents is the joy and celebration we will share with our child reaching new milestones. Whether it's their first step, first word, kindergarten graduation, or getting their driver's license, we look forward to supporting our child to achieve these milestones and more. It's also about being there to offer a hug, an encouraging word, or an open ear to listen. We look forward to the challenges, the joys, and the love that comes from raising a child.

Our Extended Families

Cathy's family lives in Arizona and Nebraska. She is the oldest child with a brother, a half-sister, and a half-brother. She grew up very close to her brother, especially since their parents divorced when they were young. She is very close to her family. When visiting we enjoy going to watch our niece and nephew play soccer or go ride ATVs in the desert with Cathy's mom and step-dad. Living far away, we enjoy FaceTime with the family. Recently, Cathy's niece had us all perform skits for each other. We did a make-up tutorial, Jason was hidden behind Cathy and used his arms to apply make-up to Cathy's face. Cathy's brother and sister-in-law did a skit and announced that they were expecting a baby at the end!

Jason's family lives in Virginia Beach. He has two older sisters who are both married and each have two kids. His family is very close. He has fond memories of family vacations, picnics at the lake, and various sporting events that the family frequently enjoyed together. Jason always makes time for his nieces and his nephew whether its fishing trips, bowling, or movie nights. When we lived near them, we loved to host holidays at our house. In between holidays, we'd have game nights and play cards.
Our House and Neighborhood

We live in a quiet neighborhood in Bartlett, Tennessee which is a suburb about 15 miles outside of Memphis. Our house is near the end of the Cove and surrounded by friendly neighbors with kids of all ages. On the weekends, you’ll typically see folks outside mowing their lawn or smell someone's barbecue. The town of Bartlett is very family friendly, and hosts special events including Fourth of July fireworks, a Children’s Fishing Rodeo, and other festivals.

We are close enough to Memphis to enjoy trips to the zoo, many parks, or the Bass Pro Shop Pyramid (one of our favorite places). We’ve enjoyed exploring BBQ restaurants or walking around Shelby Farms Park. We look forward to taking family to Graceland, Beale Street, and the Civil Rights Museum when they visit.
Our home has 3 bedrooms with 2 full baths and a nicely sized fenced backyard. We have plenty of room for family to stay when they visit with a large bonus room on the second floor. We are excited to decorate one of the bedrooms with animal themes and fill it with love when we welcome a baby home.
From Us to You

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read our profile. Although we would love for you to select us to adopt your child, it's more important that you feel this is the right decision for you and your baby. Until that time comes, we are here with loving and open arms for a child.
We have been married for almost 3 years. We met "later in life" and after getting married, immediately looked forward to having a child and becoming parents. Although that has not yet happened, we recognize that the journey to become parents has many different paths and are looking forward to this path we are on with you!
Adoption has come to symbolize the love we have for each other, for our relationship, and for our family. By loving someone, we have adopted them into our family. We will love our child, giving them the best that we each have. We will give our child time and attention, raising them in a loving and caring home, one that helps them build the confidence to dream big while providing the resources to reach those dreams.
We have a loving and accepting relationship. Despite having different personalities, upbringings, and likes, we recognize that opposites can attract and that it makes our lives more diverse and interesting. We have been able to share new experiences together, seeing it through each other's eyes, and look forward to sharing those same experiences, and some new ones, with a child.
We live in a small, tight-knit community that will provide our child a place to grow, learn, and explore. Cathy has a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master's Degree in Environmental Science. Jason worked in manufacturing and will complete his Bachelor's Degree in Social Work this year. We look forward to helping our child reach their full potential, providing them the emotional, intellectual, and financial support to achieve their dreams and desires.
Beyond the excitement that we both have of bringing a child home, our families are equally excited. You can rest assured that our child will have grandparents, cousins, and extended family who will love and care for them. We look forward to introducing our child to the family and creating a network of love and support for our child.
We also recognize how important it will be for you and your child to have a continued relationship. We look forward to ensuring you are part of our child's milestones with letters and pictures. We will be open about the adoption process with our child, and will support a continued connection and contact with you and the child based on both of your needs and desires.
We recognize that this is a challenging road for you. Know that you are not alone. This road has been emotional and at times exhausting. It has required a lot of work from us as well. It is our hope that by supporting each other through our struggles and concerns, it will bring us all strength, courage, and comfort. Thank you again for reading our profile and considering us as adoptive parents to your child. We are here, with loving and open arms.
