Available Situations

Note: The following adoption situations represent an extremely small percentage of American Adoptions' cases. These situations are only listed when another adoption professional in our Adoption Resource Center has been unable to find an adoptive family who meets a woman's needs and/or we are unable to locate an adoptive family from our own pool of waiting families.

Although many of the following adoption situations include reported drug usage, medical concerns or other factors, these are rare situations and do not represent the majority of cases handled by American Adoptions. Please note that any "at risk" fees associated with these situations do NOT apply to families who are currently active with American Adoptions.

Birth/Due Date and Gender: June 4th, 2025 - Female

Birth Father: Identity known, Birth Father is aware of adoption plan but does not want to be involved. He will sign adoption relinquishments or be served.
Birth Mother Medical Info: Eczema, lactose intolerance
Birth Mother Substance Usage: Birth mother states that she consumed alcohol twice during the 7th week of her pregnancy.
Additional Information: This birth mother is looking for an African American family that is open to contact pre-birth and providing updates throughout the child’s life. She is choosing adoption because she is a full time student, currently unemployed and unable to care for another child. She prefers a family that does not hold conservative views. All families must be home study approved with current home study and clearances. Inquiries for more information and cost welcome from families that meet these requirements and are home study approved.
