Andy & Rachel

We know adoption is a beautiful and meaningful way to grow a family, and it has been close to our hearts for many years. We hope to offer a child a life filled with an adoring family and unconditional love. Thank you for taking the time to learn about us! We are truly grateful.

What Makes Us Unique

Our Family

What makes our family unique is that adoption has been part of our story for a long time. Rachel grew up with brothers who were adopted from Korea and Peru, and that experience shaped how we understand family, identity, and belonging. It taught us early on that family is built through love, commitment, and showing up for one another, not by looking alike. Because of that, adoption has always felt like a meaningful and natural way to grow our family.

We also understand that adoption is both beautiful and complex. We know this child will have a story that began long before us, and we believe every part of that story deserves to be honored. We want this child to grow up feeling proud of who they are, connected to their story, and deeply supported as they navigate their identity over time.

Our daughters are another special part of what makes our family unique. They already understand that families can be formed in different ways, and we know they will love this child wholeheartedly. This child will be joining a family already full of love, with two best friends waiting to welcome another sibling.

We are also surrounded by an incredible support system. Both sides of our family live nearby and are deeply involved in our daily lives. Our parents and siblings are not only supportive of our adoption journey, they are genuinely excited to welcome this child into a large, loving community filled with encouragement, stability, and love.

Our Leisure Time

Family Ice Cream By the Lake

In our free time, we love being together and making the most of everyday moments, playing outside, heading to the neighborhood pool, or enjoying relaxed evenings at home. Our children especially love visiting a nearby "dinosaur museum," where they can see fossils and pretend to be archaeologists, and we love watching their imaginations come to life.

We both value curiosity and learning. Reading is part of our daily life, and we look forward to sharing that with a child through bedtime stories, library trips, answering endless "why" questions, and helping them discover what excites them. Andy also enjoys golfing and grew up in a family that loves the game, and we look forward to sharing those traditions as our children grow.

We love spending time with friends and neighbors and often host gatherings throughout the year. Summer usually means pool days, backyard dinners, and kids running through sprinklers, while cooler evenings often end around the fire pit making s'mores.

We also enjoy traveling as a family and exposing our children to new places, people, and experiences. Whether we are exploring somewhere new or simply enjoying a quiet weekend at home, our favorite moments are the ones spent together. We look forward to welcoming this child into a life filled with curiosity, laughter, adventure, and everyday joy.

Norah & Lily

Our kids are our favorite topic because they are our favorite people, and becoming their parents has been the greatest joy of our lives.

Norah is 5 and will be starting kindergarten this Fall. She is the consummate big sister, kind, talkative, and endlessly curious. She has a deep sense of empathy and is always looking out for others, especially her younger sister. She loves to learn, ask questions, and be part of everything happening around her.

Lilian (Lily) is 3 and brings so much energy and personality into our home. She is a little spitfire with places to go and people to see. Lily adores her big sister and has a special love for babies, often wanting to help and care for them. She even "practices" being a big sister by putting our dog, Blueberry, to bed, tucking him in with blankets, giving him a pillow, and gently patting him until he "falls asleep." She has a joyful spirit and keeps us laughing every day.

Watching our girls grow together has been one of the greatest gifts, and we are so excited to see them welcome and love another child into our family.

Our House and Neighborhood

Our Home

We live in a warm, family-centered neighborhood filled with young families, children, and a strong sense of community. Our home is just half a block from the neighborhood pool and playground, where we spend many summer evenings swimming, playing, and catching up with neighbors while the kids run from house to house. Families with children live next door and across the street, and it has been great watching friendships develop right outside our front door.

One of the things we value most about our neighborhood is its diversity. In Norah's kindergarten class alone, families speak eight different languages at home. We feel grateful that our children are growing up in a community where different cultures, backgrounds, and experiences are part of everyday life.

Our street is especially close-knit and has a weekly tradition we lovingly call "trash talk," where neighbors gather in someone's driveway after taking the trash out on Thursday evenings. It's simple, but it reflects the kind of community we've built, one where people show up for each other. Throughout the year, our neighborhood hosts sleigh rides at Christmas, Easter egg hunts in the spring, and summer movie nights by the pool. Our elementary school is also just a short walk away.

Our home is full of energy, creativity, and connection. The kitchen island is where we gather for meals, conversations, homework, and messy baking projects. Our dining room is often covered in crafts, and our basement is a favorite place for dress up and fort-buildling. Outside, our kids love the tree swing in the front yard, while the backyard has a swing set, plenty of room to run, and a fire pit for s'mores on cool evenings. More than anything, we hope our home always feels like a place where this child feels safe, celebrated, and deeply at home.

Our Extended Families

Nana & Bopbop

We are grateful to be surrounded by a loving, close-knit family. Rachel's parents, known as Nana and Bopbop to the grandkids, live just 10 minutes away and are a big part of our daily lives, whether it's daycare pick-ups, sleepovers, or cheering on the kids at activities. Rachel's sister and her family also live nearby, and we get together often for dinners and cousin playtime. Our girls and their cousins are very close, and it has been so special watching them grow up together. Rachel's brother recently got married, and the kids played an important role in the ceremony.

Gia & Grandpa

Andy's parents, Gia and Grandpa to the kids, and his brother also live close by, and we spend time together every week. Whether it's dinner, a family outing, or simply spending time together, they are deeply involved in our lives. Andy's family loves golf and sports, and we look forward to sharing those traditions with our children as they grow.

Time together usually centers around food, laughter, and being together. We love cookouts, letting the kids (and dogs) run around, and gathering in one another's homes. Thanksgiving is especially meaningful because both sides of our family come together to celebrate, and it's always filled with great food, rowdy kids, and a lot of laughter.

From Us to You

Thank you for taking the time to learn about our family. We can only imagine how much courage it takes to be here, reading profiles and thinking about such a deeply personal decision. While we do not know your story, we want you to know that we are approaching it with great respect, compassion, and humility.

We are Andy and Rachel, and we have been together for 15 years and married for 10. We are already parents to two joyful little girls who have brought more love and laughter into our lives than we ever thought possible. They are kind, energetic, curious, and already so excited about the idea of welcoming another sibling into our family.

Family is at the center of our lives. Our weeks are filled with simple moments we cherish, family dinners around the kitchen island, bedtime stories, bike rides in the cul-de-sac, neighborhood pool days, and cousins running through the backyard while adults talk around the fire pit. Our parents, siblings, niece, and nephew all live nearby and are deeply involved in our lives. This child would grow up surrounded by grandparents, cousins, siblings, neighbors, and friends who will love them deeply.

Adoption has been part of our family story for a long time. Rachel grew up with brothers who were adopted from Peru and South Korea, and that experience shaped how we understand family, identity, and belonging. It taught us that family is built through love, commitment, and honesty. It also helped us understand that adoption is both beautiful and complex, and that a child's story begins long before they join our family. Because of that, we are deeply committed to honoring every part of this child's story, and that includes you too.

We want this child to always know where they came from and how deeply they are loved. We will speak about you with honesty, compassion, and respect. We are committed to sharing letters, photos, and updates, and we are open to ongoing communication and future visits if that feels right for everyone involved. We never want this child to feel they have to choose between loving us and loving you.

We also understand that if this child is of a different racial or cultural background than ours, it is our responsibility to intentionally build a life where they feel represented, connected, and proud of who they are. We will seek mentors, friendships, and communities that reflect their identity and celebrate their culture in meaningful ways.

As parents, our greatest priority is creating a home where our children feel safe, deeply known, and free to become exactly who they are. We have intentionally built our lives around being present for our children because we believe the small everyday moments matter just as much as the big ones.

If you choose us, we promise to love this child wholeheartedly. We promise to honor their story. We promise to remind them how deeply they are loved by all the people who helped shape their life.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story and consider our family. No matter what you decide, we are holding deep respect for you and your journey.

With love,

Andy & Rachel
