Kyle & Jackie
We are two gracious people who are excited to be on this adoption journey! Adopting is extremely close to our hearts as we adopted our son about 2 years ago. We want to add a new child to our fun, loving and caring family. We are forever thankful that you may consider us during this stressful time. Thank you for taking the chance to look at our profile.
Discussing Adoption
It is important for us to also be open and honest with our children. We started pretty early with Connor by reading about different kinds of families and other stories regarding adoption like Jamie Lee Curtis's book "Tell Me Again About the Night I was Born." It's important for our children to know that families come in all different shape and sizes. Around 3-4 when they can start understanding better we will share the exciting story about their adoption. As they get older will continue to tell them the story and will share as much about you as you want to us. We are here to facilitate the bond you two may want to share as time goes on. It would also be important to allow them know how much they are loved by us and our families as well as their birth parents. Adoption is a hard decision and it was one that was made with love and thoughtfulness towards them.
What It Means to Be Parents

We love being parents to our son. It was the greatest joy we were given two years ago. Although some days are challenging especially as he learns his independence and to express himself; it's also the greatest thing to see because he so excited about the world around him. Somehow, we love making Moo sounds and saying Hot Diggity Dog since he loves cows and Mickey Mouse.

It crazy to think how we were given the blessing to adopt two years ago and how we barely remember our lives without him. We know these little things will make our hearts even bigger if we get the opportunity to adopt again. We look forward for our kids to discover new things together and see what different things excite them. We can't wait to see what new things we'll like possibly pig sounds and Bluey. The world is endless and we can't wait to experience the endless possibilities with them.
Favorite Vacation Spot

As of right now, we would say our favorite vacation spot would be Disney. We have been there about four times in the last three years.
Our son is at the perfect age to go because everything is so magical to him. We can't wait to share all the magic with another child as well. He loves Mickey and Minnie and thought it was the coolest thing to see them. We know Connor will be excited to share in the character time with his new sibling. We can't wait for both of them to excited to see their favorite characters and in awe of the rides.
Some of our favorite things to do there is all of Magic Kingdom especially Winnie the Pooh and Little Mermaid rides. We love the Lion King show at Animal kingdom and the whole families favorite ride is Mickey Runaway Railway. There is always something new and exciting at Disney, so we are never bored. We love seeing all the cool things.
We also like to relax on the days to settle down and get ready for the next. We enjoy going to hotel pools and play in the water. Connor will be very happy to share in the fun with how water fountains work!

Our House and Neighborhood

We live in a quiet friendly neighborhood at the end of a cul-de-sac in a four-bedroom, two-story home with a pool in the back. We currently have the playroom next to the living room. Toys are of course all over the place, as our two year old explores the world.
Although there are many parks around within a 5 minute drive, we live by one that we can walk to from our house. This park contains everything you want in a place: walking paths, a small pond to fish, athletic fields, playground and even a waterpark that has slides, a small lazy river and a kiddie area.
We go to a Catholic Church close by that has been around for 200 years with a community that is more than welcoming. Our church has plenty of activities through the year such as the annual Parish picnic.
Our house is a short ride from an old historic area that looks something just out of a Hallmark movie, with all the small shows and restaurants that it entails! During Halloween and Christmas, the entire area is completely decorated and even has people volunteer to dress up and have a character meet and greet. We love to explore the area and will continue with our whole family!
Our Extended Families

Although both of have lived in different states from our families at various times we have remained close. Our families have been very supportive of our adoption journey with our son Connor and now with this child. They can't wait to have another grandchild to love and spoil.
Jackie's dad lives very close to us, so we get to see him a lot, whether is weekly Sunday dinners or cooling off in our pool. Ever since her mom past away earlier this year; we have been including him in almost everything we do. Her brother recently moved to Germany so we have been having a lot of WhatsApp video calls to stay in touch and for Connor to see his cousin!

While Kyle's family may live a few hours away, we try to visit them as often as we can. They live on a lake so it can be a relaxing time to swim and boat in the water. Connor will be able to teach his future sibling how to get the good snacks from Grandma as well as how to fish in the future. Kyle's family loves to go to Disney every few years. The best part of our recent trip to Disney, our nephews were able to convince Connor that walking is a lot more fun than being carried all the time. And since then, he has been running around everywhere!
We have a lot of traditions that mainly fall around the holidays. Whether it is dyeing hardboiled eggs for Easter and having an Egg cracking battle to going to Christmas mass and waiting for Santa to show up on Christmas morning. We hope to continue adding more traditions for Connor and this child together with our families.
From Us to You

We know this is an extremely emotional time for you. We can only imagine the mixed emotions that you are feeling. Since this is such a hard decision, we are most thankful you are considering adoption as an option. We would like to make this process as easy as possible. Please, let us know how we can facilitate that for you. If we are chosen, we will forever be grateful for your generosity to give us the gift to love your child, unconditionally.
We have been married for 8 years. Our relationship has always been strong. No matter the challenges we have gone through in life, we have always had each other's back. We have tons of fun together and also just love to veg on the couch after a long day. Our son just adds another layer of joy in our house. We cannot wait to continue that joy if we are chosen to raise another child. The amount of love in this house will for sure be bursting.
Our son loves going to the zoo, libraries, and the playground. He also loves to go to different sporting events. Especially if there is a ball around. We know that he will love to include the child in these fun things. We pretty much do everything together in this house whether it's running errands to the grocery story and bank or doing something fun like going out to eat. We do love getting out and about in our town. We can't wait to all things with a new baby, as well.
We plan to tell the child right from the beginning about their adoption. We want to be open with them and to let them know how they came to be apart of our family. When talking about you, it will be of only good things and how much you loved them for them to be with us. The child will have a great life and future with us. We want them to dream big and to achieve the highest they can reach. Whatever their future goals may be, we will always be cheering them on.
As for communication afterwards, we are very open to setting up a plan that is comfortable for both of us. We would want to tell and show you all that the child has been doing and that you made the right choice in choosing us for adoption. We would be very happy to send you letters, emails, and pictures as we both see fit and how the relationship progresses. We also have no problem visiting you every couple of years if you want to see the child. We believe communication is importance in the child's life. If the choice of adoption is made by you, it is because you love them and want them to have the best life possible.
Your child would not only have us and a big brother to rely on, but a community of family and friends surrounding them. As you go through this adoption journey, please remember how you are so brave and tough, as you make this decision.
Love,
Kyle & Jackie
