Both of us have a strong love and passion for music. It runs deep in our family as well. Matt's father played trumpet in school and Matt followed in his father's footsteps playing the trumpet through middle school. In high school Matt had a band that performed at local venues. This band continued to play until it disbanded when he was a young adult. His best friend Jeramie who was in the band with him continues working with Matt to this day making tracks. Becki's family is also musically inclined. Becki's great grandfather played the organ, her grandmother plays the accordion, her father played the guitar and the drums and her grandfather builds dulcimers as a hobby. Becki played violin in elementary and middle school. She then spent her high school career in choir and was a majorette for the marching band. Some of her favorite memories are competing in music competitions. We have an array on instruments in the house including trumpets, violins, guitars, a keyboard, and drums. We enjoy playing music together and singing. We believe that music is a healthy outlet for stress and self-expression. We hope to share the passion and joy that music brings us with a child.

Becki About Matt: One of the things I admire about Matt is his light-heartedness. I often am the one who is more serious, and it is so nice to have someone in my life that can help me through some of the harder times by putting things in perspective with a flair that only he has. He also has a very expressive face that only adds to a lot of his silliness. Matt's light-heartedness is a side of him that only comes out after he is comfortable with a person, so it is a side of him that is very special to me. Further he is very intelligent and deep thinker. This is the side of Matt that people usually see the most. He and I have had deep philosophical conversations that can be intriguing. I know that these traits will make him a great father as he already has a candid ability to make serious and scary things not so scary yet is still able to have those deep though provoking conversations when they are needed.

Matt About Becki: One of the things I admire about Becki is her outgoing attitude. She often helps motivate not only myself but those around her to strive do better or try new things in life. This has been quality and a trait that has been something that continually helps me stay positive. Another trait is her compassion that she has for others. These traits I know are ones that will make her a great mother and parent.

We are both animal lovers and have a house full. We have one dog, Kanga, and two cats, Jasmine and Jack. Each one of our animals has their own personality.

Kanga is our Husky and got her name because of the howling sound she makes when she barks which sounds like a roo. She is a ball of energy and enjoys running around the backyard playing fetch with our friend's 4-year-old son. Kanga is also very gentle and loving. When we originally brought Jack home, Kanga took him on as her own and the two of them can often be found sleeping together.

Jack is our youngest animal and the newest to our home. Jack is a big ball of snuggles. He is not really particular about who so long as it is someone. Jack is also very playful and enjoys chasing and practicing his pouncing.

Jasmine is our other cat and she keeps more to herself. She does enjoy being pet and snuggled but it is always on her terms. She is the ghost of our animals and is usually either hiding or can be found up in one of our many cat trees.

Our current community has many things to do as a family. There are several hiking trails and biking paths within the city, some of our favorite paths to walk the dogs are on the Rims overlooking the city. There are also several parks, spray parks and community swimming nearby.

Some of our favorite summer activities are going to the concerts thrown by local bands every Thursday night and the major orchestra concert once a year. Weekends in the summer consist of a movies in the park where young families get together almost like a drive in.

Our city is located only a few hours from Yellowstone National Park and Mt. Rushmore of which we visit frequently. One of our favorite times to visit is in Spring when the babies are born, or in the fall during the bison migration.

Wintertime here can be a little gloomy as it can become very cold, however we make the best of it with sledding, building snow-people and skiing since we are in close proximity to the Rocky Mountains.

Family is important to both of us and despite the distance everyone is very excited about the chance to be able to add to our family. Matt is an only child and his parents currently live in Virginia. Often spending time with Matt's family consists of some type of family trip either with in the United States or abroad. We look forward to sharing these experiences with your child and being able to teach them about the world around them by physically being able to go to those places. Becki comes from a bigger family consisting of her parents, two sisters, Sarah and Kendel, and a array of grandparents. Becki's family is located in New York and we plan to move closer to the East coast within the next few years to be closer to our families and to allow for your child to grow up in a more diverse area.

We want to thank you for considering us as a family for your child. We want you to know how brave and strong we believe you are for considering adoption and how much we appreciate that our journeys have crossed paths. We understand that this is a difficult and emotional time for you. We pray that you find peace in knowing that your child will be raised by two people who will love them very much and stop at no lengths to insure their happiness and success.

We have been married for seven years and have been together for nine. We met on a internet dating site and we lived states apart for the first six months of the relationship before Becki moved to Virginia where Matt was living at the time. Becki is outgoing and driven, whereas Matt is more laid back and analytical. Becki's focus is always on others and how she can help make their situations better. This is reflected in her career choice as a CNA. She recently graduated with her degree in Psychology and hopes to use it to work with at-risk youth in the community, providing opportunities to them and support that they may not otherwise have. Matt is the driving force behind Becki's ambition as he is often the one in the background who sheds light on perspective. We keep each other balanced as Becki's push for achievement encourages Matt to step outside his comfort zone and Matt's laid back nature reminds Becki that it is okay to slow down and enjoy the ride.

Both of us had happy childhoods although they were very different. Becki grew up in a home with siblings and hopes to grow and to continue to grow her family through adoption allowing your child to have those same bonds that she has with her siblings. Matt grew up an only child and has memories of family trips and traveling. These are the aspects he hope to share with your child. Providing them with a well-rounded amount of experiences and perspective about the world around them. Matt grew up in a military family. This makes him no stranger to maintaining a close family relationship at a distance. Phone calls are made daily and trips are made annually so that everyone can get together. These trips also allow for new experiences for your child since we try to pick a new place every time.

Becki has always known that biological children may never be an option for her. She had this conversation with Matt before they started seriously dating. She wanted to be sure that he understood that this was possibly the only option for them and that he was on board with the decision long before it had to be made. Matt's mother also suffered from infertility, leaving Matt as an only child. For this reason, the decision to adopt is met with great compassion and understanding from both sides of our family. They are all very excited to welcome a new family member.

We hope that you too will continue to be a part of your child's life in whatever capacity you feel most comfortable through email, photos and social media. We are also open to more communication as your child gets older. Reset assured that for life event such as Bar/Bat Mitzvah and Graduations we would love for you to be present standing with us as we all celebrate these momentous occasions together. You are still an important part of your child's story and we want you to remain an active part of it.
